Over in the CTE Business Department at Dermott High School, Mrs. Toney has a lot of great things going on—one of them being Affirmation Fridays, where we highlight the power of positivity.
In our 8th Grade Career Exploration class, we talk a lot about showing up, staying focused, and taking initiative—and Vincent did all of that and more. On his own, he created a series of positive quotes to inspire his classmates and even asked me if I could make copies to share with everyone. He didn’t have to do this—but he chose to, simply to encourage others. That speaks volumes.
For stepping up, setting an example, and spreading good energy in our classroom, Vincent earns a well-deserved Boss Moves Only shout-out! 👏 Let’s all take a moment to congratulate him on a job well done!

The High School Bell to Bell, No Cell Procedures are as follows:
Students turn their cell phones to their 8th period class at 7:50 am daily to be stored in an assigned cellphone locker; and will receive the cell phone at the end of the school day. We have implemented these procedures to ensure that the law is followed. Cell phones should not be turned into any other period, only 8th period.
